NELC 2023 Annual Conference
May 2 – May 4, 2023
Washington, DC

WELCOME!
On behalf of the 2023 NELC Annual Conference Planning Committee, we are excited to welcome you to the first in-person NELC Annual Conference in four years! We are thrilled to be able to reconnect our NELC family in Washington, D.C. at the gorgeous Marriott Marquis.
The 2023 Planning Committee is comprised of 18 dedicated NELC members from various companies and law firms, who have been working together since September 2022 to develop an incredible program for this year’s conference.
This year’s conference will feature dynamic speakers from our NELC membership who will share their expertise and insight on critical issues labor and employment practitioners are currently tackling in their day-to-day practices. Our esteemed panelists will not only address substantive topics such as new employment laws, wage and hour issues, labor updates, and ethics, they will also present on unique and trending topics such as the viability of restrictive covenants, the rise of reverse discrimination claims, influencing the legislative and regulatory process, and the important issue of mental health awareness and well-being for attorneys. We are also fortunate to feature a panel comprised of the senior leaders of the federal agencies, and to host keynote speaker, Jay Jamrog, a futurist who will present on the trends affecting the evolving workplace and workforce. Finally, NELC’s Rising Stars will be leading interactive roundtable discussions on a wide range interesting subject matters. We cannot thank our Planning Committee members and panelists enough for taking the time to develop these amazing panels and once again demonstrating why the NELC Annual Conference cannot be missed.
The theme for this 28th Annual Conference is “Where We Came From, Where We Are & Where We’re Going.” Now that we are back together in-person, we want to dedicate time to reflect on how NELC started and its mission, while recognizing how far it has come and the lives and careers the organization has impacted, and celebrating its bright future, At its core, NELC is about connecting and elevating one another. We hope you enjoy the program, reconnect with old friends, and develop new, long-lasting relationships.
Thank you for your attendance and support of NELC. We look forward to seeing you in Washington, D.C.!
